Internal oil-immersed circuit breakers (OICB)
GLOBAL ELECTRICALS TRADERS manufactures a complete product range of circuit breakers for use in oil filled distribution transformers. Products include the thermal trip and magnetic trip breakers.
The circuit breaker is typically mounted inside the transformer oil above the Active Part (core and coil assembly_CCA). The breaker is operated by handle mounted externally for Open -> Close -> Reset.

Internal oil-immersed circuit breakers (OICB) are designed for use as part of protection system for both single phase and three phase distribution transformers. The circuit breaker tripping feature at overloads / loads exceeding its continuous self-cooled rating prevents the transformer from failure.
The circuit breaker trips due to heat from the combination of transformer current and the temperature of the transformer oil. Optional magnet trip circuit breakers follow the same interrupting characteristics as the normal breaker except the breaker will immediately trip when the current exceeds 10-15 times rated transformer load current. These breakers are classified as single pole / two pole / three pole w.r.t. its operational requirements in transformer.
Our breaker rated current range is 110A, 160A, 210A and 350A and trip temperature is 80ºC to 150ºC.
Expulsion Fuses
GLOBAL ELECTRICALS TRADERS manufactures expulsion fuses for use in oil filled distribution transformers. These fuses can be mounted on PCB board or installing inside the high voltage bushing (immersed in oil).
Fuse has one main and one secondary function:
Main Function of the fuse is to act like a Main over--current protection by isolating a failed transformer from the system.
Secondary Function is to act like a back Secondary back--up protection.
Operating Handles & Signal Light
GLOBAL ELECTRICALS TRADERS supplies Internal oil-immersed circuit breakers (OICB) in a kit form including operating handle & signal light. In general the single phase breaker operating handle will have shorter in length and operates the internal lever in horizontal/verticle direction, which allows mounting on a cylindrical tank.

The three phase OICB operating handle will have more length compared to single phase handle allowing transferring more torque while operating the handle for easy operation. Internal lever operates in vertical direction for open -> close -> reset. See the below sketch for handle mounting arrangement.
The signal light is an essential part of an integral complete self-protection system (CSP). It’s an easy and economical way to detect any thermal abnormal operating condition without the need of costly measuring and monitoring methods. It operates like a Preventive Alarm in the form of visual indication without disconnecting the transformer. A signal light can also provide early warning of an overload indication.
